FAQ

Q: How do I check your availability or book a date?

A: You may email Michael from the Contact page or click here. Or you may click here to reserve your date on the calendar. A $75 deposit is required to secure your date.

Q: What should I/We wear?

A: For the classic, timeless beach portraits, solid colors look best. Pants or shorts are fine depending on the look you desire. Good combinations include:

Red Top, Khaki or Blue Jean Bottom

Denim Top, Khaki Bottom

White Top, Khaki or Blue Jean Bottom

Black Top, Khaki Bottom

Pastel Top, with Khaki Bottom

There are many other nice combinations, but avoid prints or clothing that will “date” your portrait.

For young ladies, a solid, light color sun dress is very nice.

Q: Do you have a studio?

A: I do not own a studio, but should you want or require the controlled lighting a studio offers, I can make that happen. There will be a charge for use of a studio dependent on time of year and length of use. We can also utilize studios on the east coast of Florida.

Q: Where else can we create portraits?

A: Besides a studio, the beach and other outdoor areas are very nice. I have professional, portable studio lights and we can utilize your home or any other location of your choice.

Q: What beach would you recommend?

A: All the beaches in Naples are beautiful. I particularly like Seagate for the rocks. I also like Wiggins Pass, but since it is a park we have to leave at sunset and some of the best light for beach portraits is right at sunset. The beaches off Gordon Drive tend to be less crowded which provides for wide expanses of beach without the intrusion of other beachgoers.

Q: How much do your services cost?

A: Feel free to review the Pricing page; it covers most situations. If you cannot easily find an answer to your question, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Q: How long will it take before I can view my proofs?

A: I utilize online proofing to facilitate your ability to review your proofs as soon as possible. They are typically available within 48 to 72 hours after our session. The $75 deposit required to book your session must clear the bank before your proofs are made available.

Q: How do I view my proofs?

A: Click here. Find your name, enter your password and enjoy.

Q: Will other people be able to see my proofs?

A: Only if you want them to. Your proofs will be password protected so the only people able to review your proofs are those with whom you share your password.

Q: How do I complete my order?

A: I work individually with each client to ensure the Highest Quality and Excellence in Customer Service. We will schedule a time to meet once you’ve had the opportunity to review your proofs to place your order. Once you select the images and sizes, in most cases you will have your prints within five (5) business days.

Q: Can friends and family order as well?

A: Yes. Once you share your password protected proofs, friends and family may order directly from the website.

Q: What is included with my print order?

A: All prints are professionally post processed including color correction so you look your best. Facial blemishes are reduced or removed, your best features are highlighted, and your prints are produced on professional printers with high quality Kodak Endura and Ilford B&W papers offering 100-year archive quality.

Q: May I purchase digital copies of the images?

A: Yes. You may review Prices here and License Agreements here.

Q: Will you use my images on your website?

A: Possibly. I often use my favorite shots either on my website or blog.

Q: Another photographer shot my portrait/wedding/event, etc., but I didn’t receive the prints/album/book, etc., I wanted. Would you take the other photographer’s images and make a print/album/book, etc., for me/us?

A: Probably not. Usually, unless it is a restoration project, I do not work on other photographer’s images. However, please contact me with your specific request and we’ll go from there.

And just in case you’re wondering, I use Nikon camera gear, Bowen’s studio strobes, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom (version 3), Adobe Photoshop (currently CS3),  and I’m a PC – but when I grow up I want to be a Mac!

Should you have a question that is not addressed here, please email the studio.
